Office Manager - Construction

How many people in other industries can point at an office building or a new hospital in town and say, “I helped build that”?  Whether it’s a road, a home, a sewage system or a school, the things we build matter to the people in our community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide professional response to inquiries from employees and visitors

  • Provide general administrative support to the staff based in the office

  • Support with travel arrangements for office staff and guests

  • Managing agenda and coordinating meetings

  • Assist in outgoing and incoming mail (FedEx, USPS, UPS)

  • Reconciling all reception expenses

  • Coordinate itineraries for visitors from the other regions and offices

  • Assisting with special projects

  • Interacting with property manager for building related needs

  • Routinely check the office supplies and restock and clean up as needed

  • Routinely check all printers for adequate supply of paper and toner


  • Experience in general office administration

  • 2 – 4 years experience working with business teams

  • Highly computer literate in all Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Experience managing and maintaining systems record keeping systems

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills

  • Experience interacting with suppliers and vendors

  • Flexible ‘can do’ attitude

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize functions

  • Prior experience in administrative support role

  • Ability to work under pressure and complete all tasks to a high standard

  • Ability to provide ideas/solutions to implement time/cost saving processes

  • Strong initiative and desire to work in a team-oriented environment

  • Self-starter with excellent time and project management skills
